The upper neck is decorated with a band of deep cobalt blue pointed arches interspersed with molded foliage. A complementary cobalt handle, also incised with blue highlights, completes the form. The piece is stamped to the base with the Doulton Lambeth mark, dated 1876, and includes the impressed initials "HB" for Hannah Barlow.
