Unbound loose-leaf "Pilot's Handbook for Army Model C-54G, Navy Model R5D-5 Airplanes," 8.25 x 11, 77 pages, revised June 1, 1946. The cover sheet is marked "Classification Canceled…5 June 46." The manual features detailed diagrams of the aircraft's cockpit and controls, with various descriptions, operating instructions, emergency operation instructions, charts, and data. Additionally includes an 88--page manual entitled "Service Instructions for Model R-2000-9 Aircraft Engines." In fine condition. Introduced in 1942, the Douglas C-54 Skymaster was a four-engined transport aircraft used by the United States Army Air Forces in World War II and the Korean War; those used by the Navy were designated Douglas R5D.
