Vintage matte-finish 7.25 x 9.25 close-up photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Col. McHugh, with best wishes, Douglas MacArthur, Tokyo 1950”; and an ink signature, “Douglas MacArthur,” on an off-white slip. Both are matted and framed together with a reproduction of the front cover of the August 15, 1945, New York Times announcing the Japanese surrender to an overall size of 14 x 30. MacArthur’s signature and inscription on the photo fairly light, but mostly legible, otherwise fine condition. Oversized.
