Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo, signed in ink “Douglas MacArthur, Tokyo 1946.” A few small creases (touching signature, date, and body) and slightly indistinct contrast of ink against background, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by seven unsigned vintage photos, several depicting Schrickel. According to the consignor, the photo was originally owned by Sue Schrickel, one of the head secretaries on MacArthur’s staff during the occupation of Tokyo following World War II.
