<B>Douglas MacArthur Autograph Collection</B></I> consisting of four items, two signed by MacArthur. The first is a signature on the bottom of a typewritten autograph request, 7.25" x 10.5", H. Ernest Luhrs letterhead, New York, Jul 2, 1951. The second is a signature on a 4" x 1.5" sheet laid down to card stock. The third great item in this grouping is a 5" x 4" official U.S. Army press photograph of MacArthur addressing members of Congress on April 19, 1951. This is the famous speech where he uttered the well-known phrase "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." Vice President Alben Barkley and Speaker of the House Sam Rayburn, who are both pictured, have signed this photo. The last item is a printed announcement for Poor Richard's 47th Annual Banquet in Philadelphia in 1952 at which MacArthur was to speak. All items in Very Fine condition. From the Henry E.
