Double barrel percussion shotgun signed Gillespie on both locks and barrels marked London fine twist. The gun measures 42” overall with 26” barrel of 12 gauge. The barrels been shortened. The metal surfaces show a gray to brown patina finish. The stocks show damage to the varnish from heat, some losses, cracks at the wrist and stock is only fair to poor. Gillespie was a well-known New York maker and agent and many percussion derringer pistols bear his name. The locks are working and the rib’s are tight to the barrel.
