Double barrel percussion “Howdah” style pistol signed “C. Maybury, St. Mary’s Square, Birmingham”. The pistol measures 16” overall with 8-3/8” barrels of appox. 67 cal smooth bore. Pistol shows late percussionera back action locks. The pistol is full stocked with a swivel ram rod. The barrels show a Damascus pattern with approx 50% brown, some minor pitting and erosion. The locks show traces of case hardening, thehammers have gone to a dark patina. The stock is good with fairly crisp checkering, some minor dings, mars and many small type scratches in its finish. The action is crisp and the trigger guard shows traces of blue.A great back up when a wounded tiger charges. Est.;$1,400-$2,800.
