British author (1893–1957) best known for her series of mysteries featuring fictional detective Lord Peter Wimsey. ALS, 5 x 8, one page, both sides, personal letterhead, November 5, 1928. She writes to Mr. Radford confirming a meeting. In part: "The Bienvenue Restaurant in Greek St. .…If they have moved it is only to a few doors down the street. I will find out…I have had a kind letter from Millais…his father had many letters of Wilkie's, but…these have 'now all disappeared.' it is maddening. It is like a conspiracy. He refers me to the Dickens family - Ha! Ha! …." In very good condition, with scattered trivial soiling and foxing, a bit weak along the central horizontal fold, and a tiny separation to left edge at fold.
