Dorner T. Schueler (1904-1986) studied at the San Diego Academy of Art. He was a member of the West Coast Water Color Society and Society of Western Artists. After attending art school, Schueler began designing movie posters for Hollywood studios in the mid-1930s. He eventually moved to San Francisco where he continued to paint and exhibit fine art watercolors, mostly landscapes and rural farm scenes.
