Signed book: Doolittle's Tokyo Raiders. First edition. NY: D. Van Nostrand Company, 1964. Hardcover with dust jacket, 6.25 x 9.25, 447 pages. Signed on the half-title page in blue ballpoint, "J. H. Doolittle," who signs again above his image on page 128. The book is signed inside by over 30 members of Doolittle's Raiders, with many signing twice, including: George Barr, Davey Jones, Ed Horton, Chase J. Nielsen, Harry C. McCool, Dick Knoblauch, Frank A. Kappeler, Bert Jordan, David J. Thatcher, Carl R. Wildner, Doug Radney, H. E. ‘Sally’ Crouch, Dave Pohl, Robert Bourgeois, Tom Griffin, Bill Pound, Dick Joyce, Travis Hoover, Jacob De Shazer, Jack A. Sims, William Bower, John A. Hilger, Bob Emmens, C. McClure, Brick Holstrom, Theodore H. Laban, Bob Hite, and Robert L. Little. The book is also signed by the author, Carroll V. Glines, Henry L. Miller, who trained the Raiders in carrier takeoffs, and Tung-sheng Liu, a Chinese civilian who helped a number of the crew when they crash landed in China. In very good to fine condition, with chipping and wear to the dust jacket, and some old clippings pasted into the front to the book.
