(Walt Disney Studios, 1957) Original production cels of Donald Duck and J. Audobon Woodlore from Duck for Hire, the seventh episode of the fourth season of The Magical World of Disney, which first aired on October 23, 1957. The scene, which shows Woodlore walking over to Donald to give him his truant officer hat and badge, is a bridge animation that leads to Donald accepting the job as truant officer, his occupation from the 1941 shorts. The cel is placed on a hand-painted production background from the same film. Character images measure 3.75 x 5 (Donald) and 6.75 x 7.5 (Woodlore), with a mat opening of 14.5 x 11. Triple-matted and framed to an overall size 27.25 x 23.75. In fine condition, with some light curling to hat. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Walt Disney Productions. A superbly displayable set-up highlighted by its clean, bright colors and beautifully detailed backdrop.
