<td width="100%">
A limited edition signed and numbered print titled "The High Water Mark" by Don Troiani, ca. 1994. The print depicts the farthest point reached by Confederate infantry into the Union lines as part of Pickett's Charge during the Battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. General Lewis Armistead is shown with his hat on his sword rallying his troop of Virginians forward. This episode was the closest the Confederates came to penetrating the Union lines before being bloodily repulsed. General Armistead was wounded in the attempt, taken prisoner, and shortly thereafter died of his wounds. This is considered one of Troiani's best and most sought after works. The print is artist signed and numbered 410 of 1250 prints. It includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Troiani. It has been professionally framed and matted. It measures 38 x 33 inches framed. Shipping quoted upon sale.
