One hundred-year-old, one-sided porcelain on steel advertising sign, "OFFICE/DOMINION/EXPRESS CO., 2' x 14", dark blue background with white lettering and two designs. Dominion Express Company, a transportation company, was in existence in Canada from 1873-1926, then was renamed the Canadian Pacific Express Company. The Dominion Express Company was incorporated in Winnipeg in 1873 and taken over by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1884, when the headquarters were moved to Toronto. The company provided the first all-Canadian express route between Eastern and Western Canada. There are some blemishes but, at 100 years old, this sign is in excellent condition for its age. Please see photo(s) for more details. Canada Canada
