This is a 1700s antique print entitled "Sibylla Amalthea Nomine Demophil" by Domenico Cunego, a major 18th century Italian engraver and etcher. The print is 10 inches x 13-3/4 inches; the linen it is mounted on is 12 inches x 15-3/4 inches. Cunego's art is notable for its rich contrasts and textures; he was one of the first engravers to combine both etching and engraving to achieve distinctive tonal values. He had a successful career, including commissions from the royal family of Prussia and London's Boydell Gallery. THIS IS NOT A REPRINT!
