This pink satin Art Deco Glass powder jar is known as 'Dolly Sisters', after the famed vaudevillians and it is shown in Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years on page 41. Jenny and Rosie Dolly, were a Hungarian sister act who took Europe, and then America, by storm in the early 1900s. The powder jar measures about 7", with the lid, 5 1/2" without, 5" across the rim and 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" across the base. With the exception of a tiny nick under the nub, opposite the figurals, on the base of the jar, two small chips on the other nub, and minor roughness on the inside rim, both the jar and its lid are in excellent condition.
