Manufactured in 1951 during the Transition period (late 1945-1951) and later restored for the Winchester Arms Collectors Association Annual Auction held in Cody, WY on June 20, 2008. The included Winchester Arms Collectors Association states that the metal was restored by Jim Wiengand, the engraving was done by former Winchester engraver Pauline Muerrle and the stock was restored by David Bichrest. Equipped with a hooded ramp front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with the receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Engraved scrollwork on a punch dot background is found on top of the barrel at the breech, on the floor plate and on the trigger guard. Blued extractor and jeweled bolt and follower with bolt numbered to the gun. Late safety, cloverleaf receiver tang and hinged floor plate. Checkered high comb pistol grip stock with sling swivels and vented White Line recoil pad.

Near mint as professionally custom embellished for the Winchester Arms Collectors Association. The rifle retains nearly all of the blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. The stock also has only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
