This rifle receiver is listed by serial number as one of the 1924 International Rifles on page 116 of "The Springfield 1903 Rifles" by Lt. Col. William Brophy. It originally was fitted with a Winchester barrel but now has a shortened Remington marked heavy barrel, quite possible from one of the other 1924 rifles. The action has been fitted with one of the single-shot cartridge adaptors that also doubles as the base for the palm rest (which is missing). It retains a Lyman 48C receiver sight, double set triggers, ( which need adjustment/repair) sling swivels and checkered half length pistol grip stock with a grip cap and checkered steel buttplate. Complete with an original GI type leather sling with steel keepers.
