This is an example of a Parker Brothers CHE Grade Hammerless Shotgun with two barrel sets. The included Parker Gun Collector's Association letter confirms that this shotgun was shipped with a set of Bernard steel barrels (choked full/full) with a length of 30 inches, Titanic steel barrels with a length of 26 inches (choked improved cylinder/improved modified; note that left barrel measures improved modified, not modified as letter states), and a capped pistol grip stock. The shotgun was ordered by The Peters Arms Sporting Goods Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 7, 1904 and shipped on March 23, 1905 to W.H. Hodgkin of Winchester, Kentucky. In the included biographical information provided by the consignor, William H. Hodgkin was a farmer, member of the firm Martin & Hodgkin (dealers in coal and building materials), and son of a prosperous Clark County banker, John M. Hodgkin. Both barrel sets have ejectors, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and their own forearm. The forearms are numbered to the gun and numbered "1" and "2" respectively. The scroll engraved receiver has scenes of a hunting dog on each side and a flock of ducks on the underside. The checkered pistol grip stock has a factory grip cap, solid recoil pad, and the initials "JMH" (presumably for John M. Hodgkin) engraved on the initial oval near the toe. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. Comes with a three-piece wooden cleaning rod.

The forearms and shortened buttstock are fine with a number of minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering.
