1800's Carbine with Eagle Marking belonging to Dakota Sioux Chief Rain-in-the- Face (ITE-O-MAGAZU). Gun surrendered by him at Fort Keogh, Montana Territory Oct 31, 1880. (See brass plaque on Butt Stock of Rifle) Enclosed is tag showing who it was surrendered to and then given to Capt Eli Huggins and displayed World Columbia Exposition Chicago 1892. Also enclosed are numerous photos of Rain-In-The-Face and wife.
