Colt manufactured approximately 44,350 Bisley revolvers from 1894 to 1915. This particular revolver was manufactured in 1906. The barrel has the two line Hartford address on top and "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame has the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the assembly number "1792" on the loading gate. Blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, and blue finish with the type of stocks not listed. The revolver was shipped to Walter Tips, Austin, Texas, on January 15, 1907 as part of a 5 gun shipment.

Very fine. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The frame and hammer retain 60% original case colors. Some minor pitting is present on the left side of the barrel and ejector rod housing and some minor surface rust is present on the cylinder. The slightly sun faded grips are also very fine with some scattered minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
