Document lot related to the Comstock Load/Sutro Tunnel including an original Stock Certificate for the Sutro Tunnel Company for 100 shares dated 1887 with beautiful artwork; an original Bond issued by the Comstock Tunnel Co. in the amount of $1,000 on Oct. 12, 1891, with principal payable on September 1st, 1919. Also included is a yellowing copy of The Daily Independent, Virginia City, Nevada Newspaper with a map enclosed, dated Oct. 31, 1874, discussing Adolph Sutro’s lectureon mining, etc.; unknown if an original or an older copy of that paper; great mining ephemera.
