Official Spalding National League (Frick) baseball signed in various ink by 20 members of the Chicago Cubs, including three members of the Baseball Hall of Fame, circa 1941-42. Signers are: Dizzy Dean (side panel), Augie Johnson, Gabby Hartnett, Stanley Hack, George Uhler, Charlie Root, Jim Gleeson, Bob Collins, Del Dalissandro (ss), Claude Passeau (ss), Bill Robell, Billy Mittish, Bill Nicholson, Pup Russell, Kenny Deuch, Bob Sturgeon, Bill Lee, Billy Herman, Vance Rags, and Craig Bryant. Originally acquired by high school and junior college coach Joe Buckmaster, who was given the ball by Bob Sturgeon. In very good condition, with mild toning and soiling, several signatures light, but mostly legible, and several brushes to a few signatures.
