Disney Huey Dewey Louis DUCKTALES Orig Production Cel
Walt Disney's DuckTales was the first daily animated cartoon show to air weekdays on the Disney Afternoon. DuckTales debuted in 1988. The 1988 - 1989 season consisted of 65 episodes. The next season (1989 - 1990) included an additional 35 episodes, totaling 100. DuckTales is an extremely unique and original cartoon. Episodes such as "Sweet Duck of Youth," "Dr Jekyll and Mr. McDuck," "The Golden Fleecing" and many more play off of legends, literature, and actual historic events. Disney's DuckTales also uses clever "duck" names for characters, as well as creatively used puns to add life to this excellent show. In this cel, it seems that Huey, Dewey, Louie are ready for a fight. Production cel: A hand-painted animation cel that was actually used to create one frame of an animated scene that appeared in a cartoon. Original Production Cel Art with Background Copy Overall Size of the Cel: 10 1/2 × 12 1/2" Overall Size of Background Copy: 10" x 14" © Disney Excellent Condition Traditional animation is a multi-step process which includes various types of art techniques. Drawings are a key part of the process, in which the animator creates the design and movement of the characters. Drawings are then transferred onto acetate cels (by hand-inking and/or photo copying) to create a production cel, which is then hand-painted on the back side, using paint colors chosen and approved by the creators of the series. The background and cel are ready to trimmed, matted, and framed. The animator's notations are shown at the top and bottom of the background and the bottom of the cels. This cel has multi-layers; first is Louie, then Dewey, and finally Huey. The Disney stamp is shown at the top of the background.
