His paintings recall the work of the Rotterdam circle of Cornelis Saftleven and Hubert van Ravesteyn. The above painting is one of his best works. Expert's Report: Drs. Fred Meijer of the 'Rijksbureau voor kunsthistorische Documentatie' (RKD) in Den Haag has inspected the painting in the original and confirms its authenticity; "a fully characteristic work by Dirck Wijntrack" (letter 11.
