Width 3 7/8 in.<BR><BR>This bird-formed pendant embodies several characteristics of the Jalaca type, including double ear whorls and chin bands under a prominent hooked beak. Bulging circular eyes are also banded for emphasis. The bird represented may be a harpy eagle. Flat flanges represent the wings, exaggerated bifurcated tail, and head tufts. The talons jut out from the chest ready to carry off its prey.
