Academy Award–winning composer of over 140 film scores, including High Noon, Giant, and The Old Man and the Sea (1894–1979). DS, seven pages, 8.5 x 11, December 9, 1952. Agreement between Tiomkin and Aspen Pictures for him to “write, compose and prepare a musical score…for use in a motion picture photoplay…now entitled ‘Return to Paradise.’” Signed at the conclusion by Tiomkin and producer Theron Warth, and initialed once on the first page by both. In fine condition, with expected document wear.
