Dick Tracy Warren Beatty Signed Newspaper

This “Daily Paper” prop newspaper was created for and used in the 1990 motion picture “Dick Tracy” featuring an all star cast including Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, James Caan, Madonna, and many more. This prop document was acquired directly from one of the property masters that worked on the film and had it personally signed by Mr. Warren Beatty, who not only portrayed Dick Tracy in the film but also directed the feature. The headline on the paper reads “Dick Tracy Arrested For Murder of D.A. Fletcher - - Evidence of Blackmail - - No Bail Set” and Mr. Beatty’s inscription to the prop master reads “Rudy, don’t believe everything you read. Warren. P.S. Many thanks.”

The paper was screen used in the production and this version was seen in multiple scenes from the film, once during an early “Hot Off The Presses” montage, again in a significant scene where the character “Big Boy Caprice” (portrayed by Al Pacino) reads the paper in his office pleased with Tracy’s arrest, and in a later scene on a table underneath the arm of “The Kid” (portrayed by Charlie Corsmo), who is clearly despondent at the arrest of his role model.

The prop document is in good screen used condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
