Dick Tracy Press Book (RKO, 1945). Dick Tracy first made it to the silver screen in 1937 in the popular serial starring Ralph Byrd, but this was the first feature film to star Chester Gould's immortal lawman, and publicity materials from the film are fairly rare. Offered here is a colorful press book with plenty of photos, ad layouts, and publicity ideas for theater owners across the USA. In this film, Tracy tracks down a criminal called Splitface who is working his way down a list of fourteen victims. Morgan Conway starred as Tracy, with gorgeous Anne Jeffreys as Tess Trueheart. The press book was folded down the middle at some point, and the outer wrap has split completely in two, but the pages are generally in Good condition, with moderate overall wear. The book measures 12" x 18" and has 12 pages. A fabulous artifact for any Tracy collector! From the collection of Larry Doucet.
