Rare ‘divorce card’ sent by the newly separated Princess of Wales at Christmas 1992, 6 x 8, closed, emblazoned with the Prince of Wales’ feathers and the Garter motto on the cover, featuring inside a solemn 4 x 5.5 satin finish photo of the little princes alone. Printed opposite the photo is the sentiment, “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year 1992,” and signed at the bottom in black ink, “Love from Diana,” and also inscribed at the top by Diana to “Andy.” Beautifully suede matted and framed to an overall size of 14.75 x 11. In fine condition. For the first time since their wedding, neither Prince Charles nor Princess Diana were pictured on the 1992 Christmas card. Some were signed by both the Prince and Princess and some were sent separately. A beautifully signed example of the not-so-subtle message of the end of Diana’s marriage.
