This beautiful Sea Gulls bowl was made by the Diamond Glassware Co between 1925-1928. It features 2 seagulls, intricately detailed on each side of the bowl. To quote David Doty: "The birds, in full dimension, seem to emerge from the bowl itself while their wings rest gracefully against the wave-like sides of the bowl."
The green colour is believed to be called 'Afterglow', and fluoresces brightly under black light.
This bowl is pictured on page 120 in "Dugan/Diamond: The Story of Indiana, Pennsylvannia Glass"
It is also known by Depression Glass collectors as a Blue Bird Bowl.

Dimensions are: height=3.5 in from bowl base to top of bird head
diameter bird to bird=4.5in and accross the widest part of the bowl rim =7.5in

The bowl is in very good condition, with three miniscule ?strawmarks near the rim and a few very tiny bubbles in the glass.
