Dewil and Marechal Dual Signed Engraved Browning Olympian Grade Bolt Action Rifle with Case
Manufactured in Belgium in 1971, this rifle was manufactured without sights on the lightweight tapered pencil barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The barrel is blue, the trigger is gold, the bolt assembly and follower are polished, and the remaining parts are a French grey. The breech end of the barrel has a 2 inch floral scroll and punch dot engraved wedge on each side. The front receiver ring is engraved with a running pronghorn antelope in a plains scene on the left side, buck deer on the right side, with the remainder of the action scroll leaf and punch dot engraved. Both sides of the receiver is signed "R DEWIL". The hinged floor plate is engraved with a mountain lion in a tree with floral scroll engraving below and on the attaching metal and is signed "MARECHAL" at the bottom. The trigger guard is engraved with a mountain goat in a mountain scene. The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and floral and matte hand carving on the forearm and grip area. The stock has contrasting forend and grip cap, a raised comb, cheekpiece, black plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. Complete with a Browning hardcase.
