“Dewey Defeats Truman” issue of the Chicago Tribune. On 3 November 1948 the Tribune jumped the gun, declaring Dewey the next President in their early morning newspaper release. They were in such a hurry that a few lines of the story were even printed upside down. The paper was quickly recalled, though several copies had already been sold to the public. First section of paper to page 29. Discoloration due to age, chipping and tears along margins. Overall good condition.
