Its most active period seems to be 1872-1875, and reported $121,000 in gold-silver through 1882. Huge assessments were levied ($665,000), probably for the benefit of the officers. No dividends were ever paid. The stock rose and fell with regularity—from way less than a dollar to more than $10 per share.
