"Devalle" Sofa, design Carlo Mollino, 1939 for the interior of the Casa Devalle in Turin, Edition Galleria Colombari, Milano, ca. 1995, wood plinth, stained black, upholstery, red velvet cover, height: 108 cm, width: 177 cm, depth: 85 cm, height of seat: 40 cm. The sofa was designed for the bedroom of the Casa Devalle, Mollino's most elaborate 'Gesamtkunstwerk' featuring red upholstered walls, gold-tinted mirrors, indirect lighting, silver satin and white plaster. The interior can be compared to the furnishings created by Salvator Dalis in the 30s. The re-edition is based on original photographs and drawings from the Mollino Archive. (DR) EURO 2.000 US $ 2.000
