Detective Comics #37 (DC, 1940) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white pages. This is the final Golden Age issue in which Batman would work solo, as the Boy Wonder would burst upon the scene with the next issue. On this Bob Kane cover, the Caped Crusader takes on two crooks. Next month that would all change. In a similar scenario, Batman would be taking on one crook, while Robin would be occupying the other. Of course the boy would be getting his arse kicked, requiring Batman's intervention, so ultimately Batman would still have to defeat two crooks. Okay, sometimes Robin got lucky with a Batarang and actually did help! Surprisingly, this is actually one of the nicest copies to be graded yet by CGC. Only one other copy of issue #37 managed a grade higher than 6.0! Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $600; FN 6.0 value = $1,800. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
