<B>Detective Comics #31 (DC, 1939) CGC Apparent VG+ 4.5 Extensive (P) Off-white pages.</B></I> One of the most sought-after issues of DC's namesake title featured the classic cover by Bob Kane, the first appearance of the Monk and Julie Madison (Batman's first love interest), and the first time the Batplane and the Batarang appeared. Interior art comes from Kane, Fred Guardineer, and Joe Shuster. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cover cleaned, reinforced, right edge trimmed, and married centerfold."
