<B>Detective Comics #20 (DC, 1938) CGC GD/VG Apparent 3.0 Slight (A) Off-white to white pages.</B></I> The first <B>Detective Comics</B></I> superhero debuted in this issue! No, it's not Batman, it's the Crimson Avenger. This costumed crusader, somewhat similar to the Green Hornet, was a regular in this title through issue #89. The rest of the issue features the usual lineup of P.I.s and cops, and boasts a (literally) striking cover by Leo O'Mealia. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: tear seal to cover. (1 piece of tape on spine of cover & 3 pieces on interior cover.)"
