Detective Comics #151 (DC, 1949) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. Jim Mooney drew the Caped Crusader on this issue's cover, and Dick Sprang handled interior art on the Batman story. This issue marked a changeover when it came to backup features: in 1949, war stories were out and Westerns were in, so the Boy Commandos were replaced by Pow-Wow Smith, Indian Lawman, who made his first appearance in this issue (his origin story was told here as well). The character remained a fixture in this title all the way through issue #202. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $228; VF 8.0 value = $475. CGC census 1/06: 2 in 7.0, 3 higher. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.
