Detective Comics #12 (DC, 1938) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Tan to off-white pages. Creig Flessel was the main man among DC's pre- and early Golden Age cover artists, doing most of the first 18 covers of the title from which DC derived its letters. Notoriously scarce in high grade and uncommon in any grade, early Detectives present a formidable challenge for the Golden Age DC collector. This is the nicest copy of issue #12 that CGC has reviewed to date. Don't wait for a nicer copy to come along! Overstreet 2002 FN 6.0 value = $1,700; VF 8.0 value = $2,600. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
