<B>Detective Comics #1 (DC, 1937) CGC Apparent FN/VF 7.0 Extensive (P) Off-white pages.</B></I> Good-looking copy of one of the most significant of all comic book issues, the book that DC was named after. Considering that CGC has certified a mere five unrestored copies of this epic, and that the nicest was FN+ 6.5, one could say this copy looks better than any copy known, except for another restored copy that checks in at an Apparent VF+ 8.5. Comic book pioneers Vin Sullivan (with the classic cover), Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, and Creig Flessel all had a hand in this issue, which Overstreet designates as "scarce." CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cover cleaned, reinforced." And all <I>professionally </B></I>we might add!
