Manufacturer: Winchester Model: 70
This is an example of a Winchester Model 70 carbine in the scarce "7 M/M" or commonly termed the 7 x 57mm caliber. This caliber was introduced to the Model 70 line in 1937 and discontinued in 1949, so the standard production was very limited and is one of the most difficult calibers to locate today. This example was manufactured in 1952, 3 years after Winchester discontinued the 7 mm from its Model 70 line. Hooded ramp front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight and receiver tapped for scope mounting. Polished bolt numbered to gun, late type safety and straight tang receiver. The straight comb pistol grip stock is checkered and features sling swivels and checkered buttplate.

Very fine as rebarreled/refinished, possibly by factory. The carbine retains 99% plus blue finish with the bolt knob thinning to a gray. The refinished stock has a couple small hairline cracks near the receiver tang and crisp re-cut checkering. Mechanically excellent.
