Desirable and Exceptional 1914 Dated Erfurt Model 1914 Luger Rig with Two Matching Magazines and 1914 Dated Holster

This is an exceptional example of a WWI German Luger pistol manufactured by the Erfurt factory. The chamber is dated 1914 and it has the standard "Crown/ERFURT" markings on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with the three "Crown/Script" letter proofs next to an "Imperial Eagle" proof. The rear of the barrel also has a single "Crown/Script Letter" proof with an "Imperial Eagle" proof on the right side. Standard military style numbering with the full serial number on the major parts and various small parts having the last two digits of the serial number along with the "Crown/Erfurt" acceptance proofmark. Both magazines are standard WWI versions with nickel plated bodies and wood base. Each base is stamped "Crown/Script Letter/940" and "Crown/Script Letter/940/+". Complete with an original WWI brown leather holster marked "N. BURGHARD/PASING", on the back, "AMM/2/14" on the upper front and "9Fd.A.B." on the inside of the flap. It is complete with an original Erfurt marked takedown tool.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% of the blue finish overall with minor holster wear on the high spots. The various small parts retain 90% plus of their bright original straw color. The grips are also excellent showing some minor wear on the lower right side and crisp checkering. Clear markings. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fine with nice clear distinct markings, tight stitching, and showing minor handling marks and scratches on the flap and lower toe area. As noted this exceptional Erfurt Luger Military Rig has all matching numbers to include both magazines.
