Desirable World War II Walther G43 "ac44" Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with ZF4 Scope and Mount

This is a mid-WWII Walther manufactured G43 sniper rifle. The receiver is marked "G43" followed by the serial number and "ac44" code in a small milled panel. It has the rough cast receiver with single bolt guide, rough cast bolt cover with the stamped action cover. The serial number is also present on the left side of the bolt carrier under the cocking knob. The cocking knob is on the left side of the bolt cover with the hold open latch on the right side. The action cover is fitted with a sliding dust cover. The barrel has the standard blade front sight and military tangent rear sight graduated to 1,200 meters. The rifle is fitted with a WWII laminated stock and handguard. The stock is marked with a double "Eagle/359" proof on the left side, a small proof in the pistol grip area and is fitted with a steel buttplate with buttstock compartment. The rifle has a WWII ZF4 sniper scope that is marked "Gw Z F 4/60726/ddx." with a rough wartime cast mount. The mount has a small "Eagle/359" proof and is numbered "480" on the front end. The scope is complete with a rubber eye cup, metal rain shield on the front with a leather/wooden scope cap and plug. The rifle includes one 10 round detachable magazine marked "aye/Eagle/WaA843" and "G43" and is complete with an original leather sling, cleaning rod and front sight cover.

Manufucture: Walther
Model: G43
BBL: 22 inch round
Stock: laminated
Guage: 7.92 mm Mauser
Finish: blue
Grips:
Serial Number: 157b

Fine overall, 80% of the blue finish with even honest wartime use and finish loss on all the exposed metal surfaces. The stock and handguard are both very good with their original finish mixed with numerous handling marks and light pressure dents with clear visible markings and a flat spot on the underside of the stock with various hash marks cut into the stock. The scope and mount retain 90% of the wartime finish. The optics are clear and the strap for the scope cap/wooden plug is torn in two. A nice example of a wartime G43 semi-automatic rifle with Nazi ZF4 Scope and mount.
