Desirable World War II Nazi Walther G43 Sniper Rifle with Original ZF4 Sniper Scope and Walther Mount

This is a WWII German Walther G43 semi-automatic rifle that has been fitted with a correct WWII ZF4 Sniper scope and mount. The G/K series of semi-automatic rifles started being manufactured in 1943 and were to provide the German soldier with a semi-automatic service rifle that was the equivalent to the M1 Garand. Eventually they were pressed used as a sniper rifle, intended to replace the K98 sniper rifles. This example has the forged and semi-machined receiver with the single bolt guide that is marked on the left side "G43/9819t/ac 44", with a single "eagle/359" Waffenamt proof. It is fitted with the rough forged bolt carrier that has the hold-open latch on the right side and the cocking handle on the left side. It has the stamped action cover with the sliding dust cover on top and a single Waffenamt proof on the rear end. It has the standard tangent rear sight and blade front sight. It is fitted with an original (non-matching) Walther production scope mount correctly marked "fest" and "lose" on the locking lever. The mount has a single "Eagle/359" Waffenamt proof on the rear of the mount with serial number "3983" etched on the front end. The mount is fitted with a wartime ZF 4 sniper scope that is marked "Gw/ZF 4/dow/13122", indicating it was manufactured by the Opticotechna Werkes in Czechoslovakia. The scope has a metal rain shield on the front, a rubber eye shield on the rear and has a set of lens caps, (wooden plug and leather cap). The rifle is fitted with a wartime laminated stock and handguard with a smooth cupped buttplate on the stock. The stock is stamped with a single "eagle/359" proof on the butt with a single smaller proof on the inside the pistol grip. This excellent G43 sniper rifle is complete with a front sight cover, cleaning rod and a WWII "awj/K43" marked magazine.

Guage: 7.92 mm Mauser

Excellent with 95% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with minor thinning on the exposed barrel. The stock and handguard are both very fine with a nice matching color overall, and nice clear markings on the stock showing minor handling marks overall with a small separation of the laminates on the lower rear left side of the butt. The scope and mount retain 90% of their blue finish overall with clear sharp markings. The optics are very hazy with a intact reticle. The sling is good showing wear down the full length.
