Desirable World War II 41 Dated "byf" Code Mauser "Ku" Marked P.08 Luger Pistol Rig with Two Matching Magazines and Black Leather Holster

This is a scarce example of a late WWII production "Ku" marked P.08 Luger. This series of Luger was a late war assembly after normal Luger production had stopped and is theorized that the parts were manufactured by Mauser and then assembled/finished by the Krieghoff factory in late 1944/45. It is estimated that a total quantity of 5,000 were manufactured. The barrel extension of the pistol is dated "41" with the "byf" marked front toggle. It is serial number (1258) and small "Ku" serial number suffix on the left side of the barrel extension. This example has standard military markings and serial number placement. The full serial number "1258" is stamped on the frame and barrel extension only with the last two digits of the serial number "58" stamped on the various small parts. The barrel is not numbered and only carries a small "S/42" proof on the underside with a late war "Krieghoff/LZA" Luftwaffe acceptance proof on the upper left side of the barrel. This Luger comes with two all blued magazine that are stamped with only "1258 and 1258/+" on the aluminum bases. It is complete with an all black leather holster that is stamped on the back side: "KARL BUCKER/1940/WALDBROL" with an Eagle/WaA195 Waffenamt proof and take down toll with a partial proof.

Manufacture: Mauser

BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 1258

Excellent with 98% of the blued finish overall with light edge and high spot wear. The walnut grips are in excellent condition with nice sharp distinct checking on both sides with no visible handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The holster is in very fine condition with a nice even black color overall, showing minor scuffing and finish loss on the upper edges of the flap and lower toe area with tight stitching. A very nice late war KU P.08 Luger rig.
