Manufactured in 1927 this carbine has a saddle ring and staple mounted on the left side of the receiver, square base blade front sight and buckhorn rear sight. The right side of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side "-MODEL 92- WINCHESTER / -TRADE MARK- / 38 W.C.F.", the serial number on the bottom of the frame and three line Winchester trade mark information on the upper tang. A "2" inside a diamond and "ADAMS & SPENCER INC / DES PLAINES, IL" import mark is marked on the frame underside near the lever. Smooth forearm secured by a single barrel band and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate. This Trapper carbine is complete with an accompanying Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms letter listing this carbine as being removed from the purview of the NFA, National Firearms Act and classified as a curio and relic.

Condition: Fine. The barrel and magazine retain 50% faded original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The receiver retains 30% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some very scattered minor pitting with some minor spotting on the buttplate which retains 40% original blue finish. The wood is also fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
