Desirable Smith & Wesson 455 Mark II Hand Ejector Triple Lock 1st Model Double Action Revolver

Manufactured from 1914 to 1915 and is the double action triple lock pattern of the .455 Mark II type revolver. The barrel has the two line address/patent marking on top and "NP" and two crown proofs on the right side. The crown proofs are repeated behind each cylinder flute and on the right side of the frame, which is also marked "NOT ENGLISH MADE." The Canadian crossed pedants military mark is present on the frame and cylinder and a British military broad arrow mark is also on the frame. There are no caliber markings as is common with this model. The cylinder and barrel are numbered to the gun. Lanyard ring on the butt and fitted with checkered S&W medallion grips.

Very fine. The revolver retains 90% original blue finish showing areas flaked to brown on both sides of frame. The hammer and trigger retain 95% original case colors. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
