Desirable Late WWI 1918 Dated DWM Model 1914 Artillery Luger

This is a nice example of a late WWI German Artillery Luger pistol. The chamber area is dated 1918 and the toggle is marked with the "DWM" logo. The right side of the barrel extension has the three Crown over Script proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proofs. The front of the frame, let side of the barrel extension and underside of the barrel have the matching full serial number with the last two digits (54) stamped on the various smaller parts. It has the standard Gesichert and Geladen marked on the safety and extractor. It has the correct artillery length barrel with a fixed front sight with the correct artillery Luger type tangent rear sight marked 1-8 (100-800 meters). The magazine is an early WWII all blue unmarked model with the aluminum base. The base is stamped "5505/a/+/Eagle 63".

Very fine with 85% plus of the blue finish overall with blue loss on the side plate, frame rails and muzzle area. The grips are in excellent original condition with nice distinct checkering with some very minor handling marks. The various small parts retain 50% of their straw colors. The Luger has matching numbers except the later production replacement magazine.
