Very fine as modified (barrel rib - see below), with 75% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina along with some light scratches and handling marks. A pair of dovetail cuts have been made in the rib through the address, with filler blocks mounted in lieu of scope bases. Strong traces of bright case colors are present on the lock plates and triggerguard, with a smooth gray patina overall. The stock is also very fine, with a small knot visible on the right side, minor pressure dents, crisp checkering and attractive grain and a 1 1/2 inch hairline crack on the left side of the wrist. Mechanically excellent.
