Serial Number: 1069
Condition: Fine. The rifle retains 50% original thinning blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the forward portion of the barrel, front barrel band and trigger guard. The stock is also fine with a number of minor dents on the underside of the buttstock, and overall minor dents, dings and scratches. The bayonet, scabbard and frog are good. There are a few minor dings on the handle, the blade retains almost all of the original finish and the handle hardware shows a dark patina with some minor spotting. The scabbard has most of the original finish with wear and scratches, and the frog shows some wear and tight stitching. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. This is a fine example of an early Sauer 98K!
